Romans would have seemed straight forward if your folks kept you in the word from your earliest days—so that your point of view would have always been christ crucified.
my upbringing was much more hit and miss in this regard. so christ would have often been either a (gentile—ie pagan)stumbling block or (jewish—ie rules based)foolishness.
I’m 65 years old now. the class I took was more than 20 years ago. so I’m long separated from the confusions I had when I was younger. So I couldn’t tell you the details
