We both agree on that as do most. I am debating/sicussing what happened in this particular situation.
Putting aside the parking spot for a moment.
Put yourself in the “boyfriends” shoes. You come out of the store and a stranger is near your girlfriend and kid. As you get closer you hear some antagonizing going on. Did he over react? Hard to say without audio and knowing what was said or the tone in which it was said. But he clearly pushes the shooter away from the vehicle, girlfriend and son.
Following that, I see him moving away (at least one step backwards was taken) before the gun came out. The video I saw as well showed the shooter pausing a couple seconds and then shooting the boyfriend in the chest.
I think the shooter was a hothead with a gun and it was a foregone conclusion he was going to kill someone at some point. That confrontation was the day.
He should have known better. Being a CCW carries with it the responsibility not to start a confrontation.
Its sad all the way around.
