People who are carrying should not pick fights with strangers. Apparently this shooter makes a habit of doing that. I don’t see how this is “Stand Your Ground,” but perhaps I don’t have the whole story.
The larger black man came and casually swatted the white guy down to the hard pavement. You can say the white guy was being a pain BUT don’t go pushing people down onto the pavement. Maybe say some words first instead of acting like King Of The Jungle.
First blow and first physical contact came from the black guy
I agree. CCW holders should have a course in de-escalation, and non confrontational encounters.
Then again, in a CCW stand your ground state you have no business shoving people down to the ground.
Shoving someone to the ground can have fatal consequences if they land on their heard. It can also cause bone fractures. In other words, there is the potential for death or serious bodily injury. That justifies the use of deadly force. Please the man was on the ground.
I don’t see how telling someone not to park in a handicapped spot is “picking a fight”.
I agree. Though my guess is I’m going to be one of the few on here he does.
Blacks in this country like to march over any conceivable slight, but in this case they may be right. We can’t call them out on the frivolous stuff unless we’re willing to admit that sometimes they may be justified and thus is one of those times it appears. Just because you carry doesn’t give you the right to be judge, jury and executioner over ever little issue that bugs you. In fact carrying puts more of a burden on you to be level headed and rational. My wife is handicapped and uses the handicapped spots. And I have seen many people who are not grab the spaces because they are closer to the store. Would I shoot someone over it, no. Yes the guy got pushed, but that doesn’t warrant murder and that is what this is. If what I’ve read about the shooter us true he fancied himself and really Charles Bronson.
