I shortened the text Wneighbor provided because I often receive feedback from cell phone users that long posts are a problem. However, I hate to miss out on sharing what Wneighbor wrote so I’ll post the ‘redacted’ part below (see what I did there?).
Free Republic is the greatest bastion of intelligent free speech in the United States, no – in the world. Collectively we have the greatest minds in modern times reading, analyzing, interpreting and commenting on events current and historical. We are the Americans who understand the meaning of Constitutional Republic. We are people who understand cause and effect both great and small of actions by our elected representatives. Most of us, in our thinking, view ourselves as “the People” in the phrase coined by our Founding Fathers, We The People. We are the figurative offspring of those Founding Fathers in our devotion to their ideals of the Republic they formed with the very blood of some of our ancestors.
It is no secret to us on Free Republic that leftists, socialists and one world government proponents have been destroying the very fabric of our Republic for our entire lifetimes. These people are now being exposed by the president that we worked so hard to get elected two years ago. As we now approach the mid-term election season it is time for us to expend every effort possible to do everything humanly possible by each of us to restore our Constitutional Republic.
Reading Wneighbor’s post makes me wonder, “Why have I never put my representative and senators on speed dial so if they do something good, I can thank them. And every time they do what they’ve been doing lately, I can call and say ‘Oh No! You Din’t!” It’s an election year - would these people beclown themselves regularly if their voters had them on speed dial?
