They’ve become oddly popular with people in my generation (Gen X). I don’t get it.
Here’s a prediction though. The tatted people in their 40s are about to get old and wrinkly and saggy. That sight is going to cause the popularity of tattoos to drop through the floor. They’ll be associated with old geezers, and no young person is going to get them. :)
Once you get a tattoo. You can never say “I don’t have a tattoo”.
I see into the future when someone develops a process to remove tattoos effectively. This individual stands to make millions in the process.
I got my 1st tat when I was 49. I had it put on my shoulder to try and avoid that. It is almost 9 years later and it still looks great. I had 2 more a few years later. I am very happy with them and, so is my husband. It is just like so many things. People have opinions and that is fine. I was waiting for my Mom to say something when she saw them, knowing she did not really approve. She acknowledged the meaning behind them and the artistry. How cool. Yes, she would prefer I had not had any but was less judgemental than I anticipated.
