This has all been handled so poorly. Maybe there are 8D chess forces at work, but if I’m President, I’m holding a press conference where I challenge the media.
When they start up with “Do you trust Putin more than US intelligence agencies!!!!!!!!!!”
Challenge them on this intelligence. “Why has the FBI never looked at the DNC server?”. Why have you never asked them why they haven’t looked at the server? Where is the proof that Russian involvement, if there was any, effected even a single vote? Are you ever going to do the job you’re supposed to be doing? If so, when do you start doing it?”
Hold a new press conference every day to ask them about their progress and challenge them on additional areas of inquiry. Things like Assange. Remind them that his name was Seth Rich. If they’re doing nothing, mock them mercilessly for being pathetic, partisan hacks. Refuse to talk about anything else until they start looking into the things they should have been looking into since day 1.
Trump is a fighter. The first one we had in decades. But he’s not been fighting this war intelligently. Just tweeting “Fake News!!” a couple of times a week is not a grand strategy.
I agree.
The tragedy is that these disingenous fools have put us in a position where there is even a possibility that we might trust Putin more than them. Heck, we cannot trust them to serve or prepare our food. The problem is not Putin. Not Trump. And not us.
