Mankind is apparently the only animal too stupid to not move if the sea levels are rising.

That’s IMPOSSIBLE. Women and children are ALWAYS hit hardest.

To: EdnaMode
Gee, too bad the Internet isn’t like, you know, a network or a web-like structure with various alternate pathways and hubs, both hard-wired and wireless. Darn!
To: EdnaMode
Its ok. Climate change will have killed everyone, so we wont need internet anyway.

Want to get a whole bunch of people to really, really care about climate change and rising sea levels?

Obviously, telling the truth isn’t an option.

Better backup your TumblrWhy? Tumblr didn't build in its own redundancy in case of gradual global-warming-ocean-saltwater-fiberoptic line corrosion? There go all my vacation pictures. Oh, wait, they are on my hard drive. They had me scared for a nanosecond.
To: EdnaMode
Total BS. Fiber optic is already buried in wet locations, pretty much everywhere actually. If anything is immune, it's fiber optic cable. It is tough as nails. Ice storms pose more of a danger to communications than the so called effects of "global warming".

researchers at the University of WisconsinMadison and the University of Oregon found that thousands of miles of buried fiber optic cable are at risk of drowning under the rising seas

Want to get a whole bunch of people to really, really care about climate change and rising sea levels? Tell them their internet is at risk.
The author mistakenly assumes this scare scenario is a function of the study rather than the original purpose for it.

Funny this glowBull warming krap.... while we really are entering perhaps 200 years of Global Cooling. As of today, the sun has been blank for 3 solid weeks, and likely to go more. Cycle 23 was the lowest output sun a century, and 24's solar minimum is shaping up to be even lower. Predictions are about regarding 25/26 as continuing a new Dalton if not Maunder minimum. I'd like it to be named the "ManBearPig Minimum".
