I went on Atkins long ago, maybe the mid to late 90s. I lost 65 pounds and have only gained back about 10 since then. When ever I start to gain weight, I simply drop almost all of the carbs until I get back to normal. My blood sugar is low and my cholesterol remains good since losing the weight. Although I love pie, bread and pasta, I also love meat, eggs, salad, pickles and other non carb food.
I am forced to drink Michelob Ultra when dining out. Fortunately, rum and Diet Pepsi has no carbs.
