The American Diabetes Association previously recommended 135 grams of carbs per day. This is insanity. Low carbs is the only way to reduce the incidence and severity of complications.

low carb to me used to mean about 60 or 65 carbs daily...which is one apple and one bowl of high fiber cereal approx....

Imo, a good diet would have less sugar, but whole grains and fruits have good nutrition even with carbs...

perhaps moderation is the key..plus no outright sugar...

trying to cut down on carbs but it is tough.
