That makes sense.
Actually, all the guy has to do is keep moving the bulb in the magnetic field. This generates enough charge to keep the bulb lit for a few seconds. The longest the bulb remains stationary and lit is about three seconds in the video.
Your uncle stole the wire from the utility, which passed the cost on to its customers, meaning he actually stole it from the customers.
How are copper wires and magnetic fields not a factor in most electricity generation, transmission and use?
How were the lightning strikes?
Windmills.
Taxpayers are paying for every revolution.
K Street lobbyist are buying every vote by Congress.
Sit back and feel good about the green.
Energy always has to come from somewhere, the laws of physics are very strict on this.
Just because they don’t show you does not mean it was free.
Liberals want energy costs as high as possible.
Thank you! Now this thread is complete.
“I think most light bulbs are powered by magnets and copper wire.
They are called generators, and work in everything from hydroelectric plants to windmills...”
And they need lots of energy to move those parts relative to each other. All that generators do is transform kinetic energy into electrical energy. Without the externally supplied kinetic energy they don’t do squat.
> They are called generators, and work in everything from hydroelectric plants to windmills...<
But a generator is in constant motion - the copper wires must cut magnetic field lines in order to generate electricity. If there’s no motion, there’s no cutting of field lines, and no electricity.
In that guy’s video nothing is moving, and there is no obvious external power source, yet there is electricity. It’s just a clever trick of some sort.
“You have to KEEP MOVING the magnets!”
Or the copper coils. That being the case, what we do is surround the entire Earth with copper coils in space. The Earth is constantly rotating, and is magnetized, so we will produce electricity!! So simple.. (Yes, I’m joking..).
“Energy always has to come from somewhere, the laws of physics are very strict on this.”
Yes, but if we could only capture some of the energy that is untapped.. Which brings up the question of sources of wasted/unused energy on Earth. Let’s make a list..
We have sunlight - much of the energy of which is not captured for direct use. We have wind. We have water movement. We have geothermal. And we have Congress, and Jeff Sessions.
> The longest the bulb remains stationary and lit is about three seconds in the video. <
That’s the key point right. It’s not obvious, but the guy is the external power source here. His stored muscle energy is being converted to light energy. No free lunch.
If it did work I would wrap that bulb with solar cells and see how much energy could be pulled from it...
Surely you realize this is a trick, fake science. There’s an RF generator under the table, capacitively coupling energy to the copper plates, the magnets are just conductors and could be replaced with any metal object. Pure BS.
Yes we used to check RF transmitters by holding a neon bulb near the high voltage RF output stage. If the bulb glowed, you were good to go. Same thing worked on old TVs to see if the high voltage flyback power supply was working.
Ahhh, those were the days, when you could actually repair stuff.
