Your brother is gone, the funeral is for the benefit of the grieving family, not your brother. For your grieving, do what you need to, like have a private ceremony at your Church, go to the grave-site later. Avoiding his wife and child is appropriate and skipping the funeral is a good idea.
Knowing how some leftists are, they may call the police, file restraining orders, etc. Leftists create a scene, then claim that you threatened them. Civility does not matter to them, since they are blinded by hate. All you can do is pray for them. At least your brother got baptized.

Respectfully, He is family too, So is their mother and brothers.
Thankfully I get along with all my brothers and their wives so this is not a problem(crossed fingers) but I would take my mother and caravan with my other brothers. We would be respectful but we would dare them to challenge our right to pay respects to our brother.
Being family doesn't mean just the fun stuff. Respect
