In what way did Trump disrespect the queen? The exchange I saw between them seemed appropriate and completely respectful. Were he and Melania supposed to bow and curtsy for her? That kind of fol-de-rol toward rulers is one reason we crossed the pond centuries ago.
During the troops in review (the beefeaters) Trump came between the camera and the queen then lead the queen down the review line instead of vice versa.
They must mean by doing something insulting like returning the bust of Winston Churchill.

As I viewed the video, just as the Queen and the Trumps were to step of and pass before the troops, Trump inadvertantly turned right, which for a moment and perhaps 3 steps, placed him AHEAD of the Queen rather than beside her. He quickly realized the situation and stopped and displayed due deference to a lady who was his elder. To me, it was an innocent faux pax, and doesn’t amount to a brief flatulence in a hurricane.
All reports from England suggest that the Queen and Trump got on splendidly.
The Queen believed Trump and Melania were charming and Trump was very impressed by how sharp and intelligent she remains.

Right on, Mayflower Madam. Don’t believe a word of it. Granted President Trump may not have “court” manners, but the Queen has loads. I bet her main job was making him and Melania comfortable and I’d bet she succeeded. I bet, too, Prez. Trump didn’t give her a tape of his speeches, like that faker Obummer. The Queen never puts a foot wrong, whereas her husband, Prince Phillip, does all the time, so she’s had plenty of practice smoothing over difficulties, and with grace. Love that woman, and her parents before her.
