I don’t think it’s a charade anymore. It’s either supreme incompetence or worse, a flat-out failure of many in DOJ to either perceive there IS a Deep State or to want to believe it can exist and be effective. I’m beginning to think people like Sessions & Wray & RR just don’t believe something like that can exist. “These are Americans, after all.” That kind of thing.

As I stated earlier, the battle is shaping up to be the bureaucracy vs the people of the United States {Bundy Ranch, etc.}... I doubt the Congress will step up. For right now, it is DJT that represents the people - NOT the Congress... a potentially unstable situation.

“a flat-out failure of many in DOJ to....perceive there IS a Deep State.”

We use this ant poison called Tarro that works on the principle that you need to keep the ants alive long enough to take the poison back to the nest. It’s frustrating to watch the ants happily feasting on the honey-like syrup for a few days - but then - poof -they suddenly disappear.

I’m thinking Trump and Sessions are operating on a similar strategy: ultimately it’s the voters who have to see the corruption and become disgusted with it. If you fire or lock up all the offenders, they are either replaced by others just like them or become martyrs. Because of Trump and Sessions’ passivity, Trump now enjoys the advantage of being seen as the innocent victim of a witch hunt - but that would disappear the minute he started firing, indicting or jailing deep state or Obama era political enemies. He’d be cast as an authoritarian with something to hide - just like his enemies have been saying.

Maybe leaving the ant farm alone - and giving the people a chance to see how smug and sleazy and arrogant and globalist they are - is actually the best way to destroy their brand.

I know that watching Comey, Rosenstien and Strozk in those hearings showed me a level of creepiness I had no idea existed. Listening to Brenner, McCain, Clinton, and Obama make their America Last public statements and over-the-top slander of Trump - may actually be a better agent for change than putting them in jail, where they would be seen as Martyrs. It seems like being free to roam the planet and speak their minds, the Left is inflicting a lot of damage on themselves - if they were all in jail or speaking only per the advice of counsel, perhaps they would take far longer to kill off.

I don’t know... I just have a gut feeling Trump has thought this through pretty carefully and I’m not at the point of second guessing his strategy - he hasn’t come anywhere close to what I’d consider failing.
