To: Hot Tabasco
That started back in the 70's when they brought Pele to the U.S....and where is soccer today? Yawn!

I'll tell you where it is, every summer they have exhibition games in the US with the big European teams, and they always sell out the games. And the big stars don't usually even play in them.

So what happened with the North American Soccer League that went belly up back in 1984?

How about its successor, the APSL that only lasted from 1990 to 1995?

So where exactly are these exhibition games being held here in the U.S. Gator? There certainly haven't been any here in the vicinity of Michigan.

And just who exactly are filling these so called stadiums Gator? WASPS or immigrants both legal and illegal?

Here's a photo taken from Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, MI last year which hosted Detroit's semi-pro soccer team, the Northern Guard. See any American flags in the stands?

By the way, the stadium only holds 7,000 people so I guess that would qualify your statement that the "stadiums are packed"...........LOL!
