I say that because he just reminds me of my first computer job. My boss’s boss had this demeanor about him that you thought he could eat your soul. One company outing a friend and I did a crap ton of illegal substances and alcohol and wound up superglueing everything in the hotel room.
I wound up in his office the following Monday. I kept my job.
I had a manager like that back in 1990, right before Windows sprung. He was nominally big-iron hardware, but he had the programmers and data control shrinking in the halls away from him. I never had a prob with him cuz I looked him straight in the eye, that seemed to unnerve him. In retrospect I miss his hardassism, which seems to have been bred out of our IT population.
