In these respects, the Irish resemble their Scottish and English neighbors. The only thing that might save the British Isles and the rest of Western Europe is enough immigrants from Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe with a strong work ethic, good morals, and fearlessness toward the Muslim hordes. After the collapse of the Western Roman Empire, Germanic tribes reinvigorated the native stock, fought off Muslim and Asiatic invasions, and established order in the western provinces. It may be the role of the Slavs and Magyars to save Europe in the 21st Century that the Germanic nations performed in the 6th through 9th Centuries.
