I have to admit that I let the dog lick me and share food with it also. She also shares our bed. She actually is so spoiled and finicky that she sniffs everything that we offer her and turns down anything that isn’t meat or some sort of sweet.
I am sorry about the young dog that you tried to save. As you have probably guessed from my pseudonym I have done CPR many times using a bag valve. I would think twice before doing mouth to mouth on an adult person, but my co-workers and I have done mouth on dogs and kitties that we pulled out of houses that have stopped breathing from smoke inhalation. None of us worried about catching a disease from a dog or cat.
This is Blanca. She was my friend. Isis is behind her, she is still with me. I've never done CPR on a person before. I was trained on that many years ago, so I am sure I need retraining. I've only read about the process on canines until the day I tried the procedure on Blanca. Tough day.
