Here’s the odd thing though. If you took this bucket of money that appears to be laying there, and got some jobs counselor hired to ‘lead’ people to the jobs market...got them drug-free so that they could pass the drug-test...then in this Trump market, they’d all be hired in 30 days and wouldn’t be talking about poverty.
Go look at the trucker market. Companies are begging for long-haul truckers who can pass the drug test. Everyone of these folks could be hired up if we sponsored their CDL costs.
Universal Basic Income would mean all of the 77,500 people would receive an extra $500 per month. This 'program' is a five hundred dollar raise to welfare payments.
It's stupid - and should be renamed: "Extra Five Hundred Dollars for Welfare recipients".
