Yep I remembered wrong.
BTW -I took up bee keeping 3 years ago. Have been stung over 25 times and everything seems ok. I do have a sting kit for visitors and it has the childs liquid Benadryl, Unkers and Gold Bond with Lidocain for when it starts to really itching. The ER is only 3 blocks away and all the new folks that want to play with them has to have a buddy (usually me).
I tried getting an epinefrin set up with the vial and injection needle when I started out. The laws just changed on the epi-pen craziness and the only place you can find that kit now is on crash carts for heart attacks. Every other consumer use will be via the auto-pen and Im just not going to pay that kind of money every 9 months it expires as a preventative for someone else that thinks they are allergic to MY honeybees when they just got stung 6 or 8 times by a yellow-jacket.
People who have bee allergies should either not visit you or make sure they are prepared in the event they do get stung.
They need to be the one taking responsibility for it, not you.
FWIW, another form of Benadryl is often labeled as nighttime sleep aid.
It’s the EXACT same ingredient at 25 mg doesage and it’s cheaper and doesn’t have the pink color or nasty taste that Benadryl has. Which works for those of us who are sensitive to colors and fragrances/flavorings.
