An unjustified attack, and one based no less on prejudice judging someone on their appearance.
For “blacks” in the L.A. area Trump is not needed for any animosity by blacks seen there toward “hispanics”. After the 60s riots and various “community building” efforts promised or delivered to relieve poverty in the area, what blacks have seen since the 1980s is that a former “minority”, Latinos/Latinas are now often a majority, and many blacks are no better off than before, and blacks there KNOW a large percentage of the hispanic population there is illegal.
The black woman was wrong, very wrong, and had she considered a role reversal where the old man was black & the majority around him were “white” she’d admit it.
But undersatand her, in her ignorance, not her defense, I do.
Trump did not “give voice” to her prejudices. I seriously doubt in the whole community context it would have made any differnce. Why? Such misguided violence between blacks and hispanics, in sizeable numbers in that community, precedes Trump by many years.
Trump did not give voice to her prejudices.
Nope, but his predecessor, the Community Organizer, sure did.
