Oh no! Slowly step away from the model train.. Hehehe. d;^)
Had a bout with those one time and they seemed like they could get addictive in short order! So many towns and tracks to build.
One of our properties had the old railbed for the WBS from "The Old Man and the Boy" on it. Felt compelled to build a depiction of it to Wilmington, but got too nice of an offer for the place before it got too far along.
Used to love working on varmint gear as well. Had a mini shop in the basement with a 1/2 size Rockwell Knee mill and an old Southbend lathe with other such truck that goes with makin chips-n-shavings. But found out quickly that cuttin on a $2-300 piece of SS tubing from Mssrs. Hart, Lilja and Shilen was not the place for someone with a slight attention deficit.
But I had a grande time making nice x axis adjustable pedestal rests and tripods for the field.
I still had time to game back then as well. It's fun being multi-faceted, eh? d;^)
Two of us together could really churn up some stuff. I have enjoyed making all sorts of stuff. I've applied micro-controllers to that train, making traffic lights and the like. Hmmm, I had to dismantle it when we moved. Maybe its time to dig out and old vice.
Plaster of Paris, foam, wallboard mud, and an airbrush are trappings of creation.
