Mental disease (depression or hypermania, all the schizophrenia types, drugs (legal or otherwise) which have the property of causing depression, fear of lifes consequences, suggestion through friends..media. Spiritual battles. Poor upbringing...triggers...losing a job...spouse...money...etc.
