You have a lot of hate in you about this issue. I don’t think it’s possible to have an intelligent, let alone civil, conversation with you about Pit’s. You’re not only vested in your hate and dug in; you’ve demonstrated there’s nothing that could possibly convince you there are plenty of Pit’s who aren’t what you think they all are.
I’ll leave you with this one thought though. All dogs can hurt people; even those little yappy dogs I don’t care for. Medium to large dogs can break bones with their bite but they normally don’t; at least not without a good reason like they are protecting their human’s. There’s a mutual trust between dogs and people. When that trust is broken and the dogs are mistreated; we should not be surprised when they stop being “good dogs”.
I know there's no getting through to those who refuse to be warned. But at least homeowner's insurance will no longer cover the liability of fools who court such danger. I also know of some big fat lawsuits against these dog owners.
And I also credit an earlier poster who sees a spiritual dimension to this.
