Darn good story but I’m not buying it. I’ll bet she was carrying without a CCW and HAD TO say it was in the glove or she would have probably been arrested. Even in Texas.
2 & 4 year old? Those videos on YouTube showing young kids digging out guns from purses and concealed carry bags has had a major impact; it would not surprise me if a Mom with 2 young sons in the car keeps the gun in the glove compartment.
Don’t need a LTC to carry a weapon in your vehicle but it must be concealed and not on your person. If you can legally own a gun in Texas you can carry one in your vehicle.
.……….depends entirely on what county your in...…….out of 254 counties...……….I’d wager that you would not even get arrested in 200 counties in a case like this.
Particularly for a woman.
In West Texas, no one involved including the Sheriff’ deputies would even THINK about arresting a woman for defending her kids, with or without a license. A West Texas jury would NEVER find her guilty. Hell, they would commission a statue for her in front of the county courthouse.
Now Austin...…………..your going to jail !!
