In the week and a half since Sarah Huckabee Sanders was refused service while dining in Virginia, pundits have debated the propriety of that act in tedious detail.
Its a subject that wont go away. Even in Vancouver, B.C. a restaurant manager was fired the past weekend for refusing to serve a Trump supporter wearing a MAGA hat. In both cases, the restaurants decisions and the resulting reactions reflect a growing gulf between political factions that increasingly see themselves as belonging to separate societies.
But, even amidst the labored dispute about whether the Virginia restaurant should have rebuked Sanders, there is little doubt that the staff had the right to do so. Unfortunately, that same right is not protected in Seattle.
Here, city law prohibits discriminating against people because of their politics, but shouldnt. People here should be able to throw out Sanders, too, if they wish.

Beta male cuck, for sure.
If that is the best the left can do, then we are in good shape.
[Nate] “Now this article will for sure get me a liberal girlfriend!”
Wonder would happen if this moron were tossed out on his ear because the business owner did not like his politics?
Be careful, lefties: you’re going to love the new rules.
He won’t feel the same way when a restaurant throws out a leftie.
Hammer meet nail
Bigot.
I agree.
I want to know which restaurants and restaurant chains to avoid.
Actually, when I saw the picture, the first thing I thought was that his name had to be Jonathan. I was wrong but let me explain.
I’m sure there are some decent Jonathans out there, but in my experience there’s a karma about names. And very few “regular guys” are named Jonathan. I think particularly of that obnoxious reporter Jonathan Chait, who writes for, I believe, The Nation.
The other thing I thought, based on the picture, is that this dude has really bad sinus problems, or adenoid trouble.
So s business couldn’t refuse service to someone who’s gay, but could refuse service to a Democrat? Is that what they want?

Then we get to play too.
So no one needs to bake a cake for someone they don’t want to right?
Hey p*ssy-face! shut up, you idiot!
Strange looking little person.
It seems the Democrats have gone retro. They used to encourage not serving blacks too!
There should be no discrimination laws except those that prohibit the government discriminating on any rationale other than competence and training or governments having laws that require any sort of discrimination by private entities. If the Civil Rights era had led to these proper changes we would be a much less government directed society with far fewer or no “civil rights” campaigns for every difference and deviation imaginable. Instead the Civil Rights era led to a severe diminution in the rights of private property and free speech.
The left long for the days when you could eat at the Woolworth’s lunch counter without rubbing elbows with “unsavory” types.
Smug wuss. Maybe that isone word- smugwuss.
