Oh please. I’ve zero sympathy for the Germans of that generation. I had members of my family who risked their lives in WW2 fighting those bastards. Ever give any thought to what the world would look like today if they had won? And yeah, I’ve known many guys who fought in the ETO and none of them had anything warm or fuzzy to say about the Krauts.

That's frankly kind of an absurd position, to have no sympathy for an entire generation -- for example, do you include 14 year old draftees in '45 in your estimation of guilt? I think most of us, myself included as mentioned, had family members who risked their lives fighting in WW2.

"Ever give any thought to what the world would look like today if they had won?"

Where the hell is that coming from? Who here is waxing poetic about the thought Nazi or Tojo-ist victory? Nobody.

Despite the evil of the regimes we fought and defeated, millions of good men, a very large portion of them Christians, served the country God saw fit to place them in honorably and within the confines of the rules of war. Now they're dead, and while this isn't a topic of particular interest to me I also see no reason to groundlessly indict millions of honorable soldiers.
