I feel sad for you that you live in such darkness that you want to keep carrying the torch or hate even in the face of decency and righteousness.

Regarding my last comment. I really have no idea about you or anything about your life and how you treat others as a general rule. But on this particular issue, I believe there are so many asshole, idiots with zero principles and integrity on the left. That when a group or single individuals goes out of their way to show both. I believe in commending them.

I think to make them out to be equal to the assholes, really diminishes the upstanding behavior that was shown by them.

Sometimes no matter the dislike in our heart, honoring the goodness of action is a step in the direction of peace. There is already enough haters in action. Why condemn someone who has shown righteousness--especially in spite of disagreeing strongly with the beliefs of the person treated criminally?
