Prior to the invention of the camera, portrait artists took great pains to create a resemblance. But, as artists who are hired to do a job, they did whatever they could to make a flattering image. (I realized this when I painted a portrait of my brother and he remarked, "You didn't make me BALD enough!"

The camera, however, is ruthless and doesn't lie. Sometimes a camera portrait is very unflattering because it captures an awkward moment, such as chewing or blinking. But even an unretouched photograph of Melania is prettier than a fussed-over oil painting of our early First Ladies.

She is a Natural Beauty.

The camera can make anyone look "not so good" at times............ Yet even with all the evil MSM today, I have never seen a bad photo of her.

It's really quite amazing to me.
