Seriously???? They were kids....when all put together they might weigh the same as that man. Kids should never have to be put in that position of danger and a real man should never go after kids. Self defense training is great but we as a society should never accept this behavior from Dems.
The only real way those kids could have defended themselves was if they were armed and that can not happen.

Well, I don't believe that there's any Voodoo or law that will stop all attacks forever and ever, so we're back to practicality and self-defense. Assault by an adult against a minor is already a serious offense in Texas and has been for generations.
Criminals don't consider consequences much, though (criminology). And yes, every 16-year-old has the right and necessity to learn and practice self-defense.
On being armed, shooting someone for throwing a drink in one's face, grabbing one's hat and leaving might be difficult to defend in court, even with good insurance (retainer). Reaction time, drawing from concealment and firing at someone in a crowd in a tiny Whataburger building or chasing them out of the building, etc., would probably be problematic in a defense case.
A long time ago and far away, a woman approached a young man while he was doing his job of watching a large crowd. She looked up at him with a dramatically critical expression and said with a twang, "I thought you'd be bigger."
