Okay, they shouldn’t do this. Still, they have a pretty valid point and I do hope the French increase their defenses around these plants.

Most U.S. reactor domes were built with six-foot thick reinforced concrete, at least way back, IIRC. They could withstand the impact of a medium-sized commercial jet back then (this was when the 707 and 727 were the standard).
Don’t know about the Frenchies.
