The girl was paddling on a raft, and the gator started coming for her. She landed the raft and scampered up a tree.

The tree overhung a creek in a swimming area near Alligator Springs. The teen was on a raft when the gator approached her. She said climbing up the tree was her only means to safety once the gator began to get near her.

Appropriate name?

many natives swim and float alligator rivers every day, sun up to well before sunset, after they stalk you..Not my way to keep cool, pool better
