Photos of a female hunter from Kentucky proudly showing off the results of her dream hunt a dead black giraffe in South Africa have ignited a firestorm across social media after being picked up by a local African media outlet.
White American savage who is partly a Neanderthal comes to Africa and shoot down a very rare black giraffe courtesy of South Africa stupidity, read the June 2018 tweet, posted by Africa Digest. Her name is Tess Thompson Talley. Please share.
The controversial images, which were posted by a Kentucky woman identified as Tess Thompson Talley a year ago, show her standing proudly beside a dead giraffe bull along with the caption: Prayers for my once in a lifetime dream hunt came true today! Spotted this rare black giraffe bull and stalked him for quite a while. I knew it was the one. He was over 18 years old, 4000 lbs. and was blessed to be able to get 2000 lbs. of meat from him.
Trophy hunting is a legal practice in a number of African countries, including South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The giraffe I hunted was the South African sub-species of giraffe. The numbers of this sub-species is actually increasing due, in part, to hunters and conservation efforts paid for in large part by big game hunting. The breed is not rare in any way other than it was very old. Giraffes get darker with age, said Talley, in an email to Fox News.
She points out that the giraffe she killed was 18, too old to breed, and had killed three younger bulls who were able to breed, causing the herds population to decrease. Now, with the older giraffe dead, the younger bulls are able to continue to breed and can increase the population

Giraffes are also able to kill lions, and the excerpted clip link below shows their technique...

[[Id try elk and bear, but I understand bear meat can have some nasty parasites in it, ]]
Absolutely it can- you definitely wanna make sure it’s well cooked- and the ear meat we had was good for a few bites, but then the after taste kicked in- it was quite strong- not very pleasant
exactly- giraffes are anything but docile- and they don’t just stand around dumbfounded while hunters walk right up on them in plain sight- these animals are tall of course and see very well- it’s not easy getting close- just ask marlin perkins- They are not easy to hunt judging by how alert and defensive they are-
Not a fan of trophy hunting? Don't do it. Problem solved.
Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present The Conservative Position on any lawful activity.
Freepers never change, still commenting before reading the article.
The black bull is old and unable to breed. It isn’t rare and it killed 3 young bulls who could breed.
My first impulse as well
Giraffes actually attack and kill people on occasion
One happened recently a few weeks ago
They stomp like a horse or use their necks
They arent as hornery as a Cape buffalo but they are not exactly docile like a baby impala
And the hunts bring in enough cash to care for a bush family for a year not to mention a ton of beef like meat
Things rarely are what you think first glance of safari hunting
Dont fall for it....the PETA HYPE
We were inundated with them at camps is Sierra Leone and north central Brasil
Mining...
Wed catch and cage em and the locals would get up in their face and in local lingo warn them they were soon to be dinner
I swear the monkeys would get all quiet and serious....lol
Then go back to constant screwing and throwing monkey crap at us
Man a boss male monkey is brutal with a capital B on the season females when hes working it
One after another till hes exhausted then they come over and pet him and clean him and lay all over him
Even after he bites em to blood and scraps and pulls their hair out and is sexually violent to be honest
Its a strange ritual
It suited them they got eaten to be honest
In Brasil the guarani loved monkey brains with eggs on cassava paste pancake like thingies....sort of an arepa
Like country folk used to do with squirrel brains
I tasted it....tasted like coon....not my palate...greasy and gamey
I dont care what folks hunt if they can afford it and its not near extinction
Its their business....like their sex life
Shes cute and southern....my kind of girl
Split hoof, chews the cud. When I was much younger I hunted in Alaska, as I lived there. We’d go out in groups of four to eight people and we split in groups of 2. At the sound of the first shot the hunt stopped and we began packing out meat and hide and rack, to water’s edge where a boat would later come and pick us up. It was basically hard labor. I switched to fishing after a few encounters with the formidable Alaskan bear. The Moose were dangerous as well. And... the weather would kill you. In those regions one rarely gets a second chance to blunder.
“Addio Africa” was an exploitation film, no doubt. It showed the brutality of the incoming regimes after the Brits turned their colonies over to the locals. At least on a reserve, the animals have a chance of surviving. And it takes money to keep a reserve well, reserved.
Silly girl. Doesn’t she know that you’re only supposed to hunt White people in South Africa?
Does it taste like chicken?
I’m sure the tag cost a lot of $$$$, which will be reapplied to help fund conservation.
as old as it is, prolly tough as hell too
agreed. I feel like I’m in bizarre world. spirit vessel?
How does she know that this older bull killed 3 younger ones, I wonder?
It sounds like its an excuse or justification for the hunt.
Game Guides.
Lion is one thing. Why shoot a giraffe. Just seems wrong.
Just read your tag line!
Given your previous insinuation, Im laughing my AO!
