Gudrun Burwitz, the true-believing daughter of Heinrich Himmler, the architect of the Holocaust and Nazi Germanys highest-ranking official after Adolf Hitler, died May 24 in or near Munich. She was 88.
Her death was first reported by the German newspaper Bild, which also confirmed that Mrs. Burwitz had worked for two years in West Germanys foreign intelligence agency. The agencys chief historian, Bodo Hechelhammer, told the newspaper that Mrs. Burwitz worked as a secretary under an assumed name in the early 1960s. The agency does not comment on current or past employees until they have died.
Mrs. Burwitz, who was sometimes called a Nazi princess by supporters and detractors alike, remained unrepentant and loyal to her father to the end. Although she had visited a concentration camp, she denied the existence of the Holocaust and, in later years, helped provide money and comfort to former Nazis convicted or suspected of war crimes.
At the time of her birth in 1929, her father was consolidating power as leader of the elite Nazi paramilitary corps known as the SS. Himmler also commanded the German secret police, the Gestapo, and established the system of prison and concentration camps in which more than 6 million people primarily Jews but also Roma (or Gypsies), homosexuals and others would perish.
The only person who outranked Himmler in the Nazi hierarchy was Hitler himself.
Gudrun, who was Himmlers oldest child and only legitimate daughter, was exceptionally devoted to her father. Himmler and his wife later adopted a son, and had two other children with his mistress.
Throughout the 1930s and early 1940s, the bespectacled, undistinguished-looking Himmler enjoyed having Gudrun at his side, as a blond, blue-eyed symbol of Aryan youth.

Yes we did let the nazis (most capable men) run wild in the intel world in the name of stopping Russia. You say, “We can debate the morality of it, but looking at the way things worked out 1945-89, the strategy worked”.
Kinda, our nazi infested and sympathizing intel world murdered JFK, and has become the envy of anything Hitler ever wished for.
Lay down with dogs, get up with fleas.
The FBI had friendly relations with organized crime, and the CIA was very friendly with nazis.
Both organizations are now infested with those mentalities of their counterparts. It the same reason you don’t let your honor student go on a road trip with the bad news kids. They pick up the bad habits, they never ever elevate the lower element.
BTW, no one knows how many sons and daughters Mengele really had. He was pretty "active" after the war while in South America.
Nazi Germanys highest-ranking official after Adolf Hitler
Original #2 Rudolph Hess (had to be thrown under the bus when his attempts to save British and German lives failed at the hands of Churchill.
Second #2 - Hermann Goering, until late April, 1945.
Final #2 - Karl Dönitz, who finally succeeded Hitler.
That's irrelevant. The politically correct position is that only the Jews count. Everyone else should be ignored.
Evil little Nazi bitch. The Devil have her.
I am not defending her. I am judging you.
Big difference.
Heydrich was dead before the Holocaust got fully underway. Himmler was the man in charge of overseeing the extermination camps but Hitler was ultimately the architect of the Holocaust.
I believe Himmler has a grand-niece who is still alive and seems to be the opposite of this little bitch.
Yeah that was my understanding too. In the last days in the bunker both Goering and Himmler were seen as betraying Hitler and he ordered them executed but the Nazi state was crumbling by that time. That opened it up for Karl Donitz to wrap things up and sign the surrender documents.
Maybe you ought to learn how to read.
“Sometimes I think the folks around here dont understand common sense and common values like family.”
So, you respect the family values of Charles Manson’s children?
Do you respect the family values of Stalin’s children?
Stalins kids lived in NYC. Pretty sure no one bothered her as much as you all are worked up.
I thought we did away with the sins of the father in the US. But, I guess I was mistaken. I am sure there are still some Hitler relatives in NJ. Lets go hunt them down.
Sorry, if my old man murdered several million people, I would not honor his legacy.
88! See? SEE?
Hitler had a nephew named William Patrick Hitler who honorably served in the US Navy during WWII. It’s what the individual does not the bloodline, that how Americans are supposed to think. Any other way of looking at it borders on medieval!
I doubt she sought out the media in order to give praises to her father.......
European media is no different than our own MSM when it comes to digging up dirt in order to create news..........
The Wannsee Conference was called by the director of the Reich Main Security Office SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich to ensure all Ministries and departments co-operated in the Final Solution.
The conference was in response to a letter sent to Heydrich in July, 1941 by Vice-Chancellor of Germany Hermann Göring giving written authorization to Heydrich to prepare and submit a plan for a “total solution of the Jewish question” in territories under German control and to coordinate the participation of all involved government organisations.
As Vice-Chancellor Goring outranked Himmler.
Goring also held many political offices in the Reich which also outranked Himmler.
Himmler did use Heydrichs position in the SS to insure the Final Solution was run by him.
The Wermacht didn’t want it anyway.
Himmler may or may not have made a morning appearance at the first day of the conference.
Records of that are sketchy.
The letter from Goring to Heydrich, as well as the minutes of the conference, were used at Nuremburg and is on display at the Wannsee House which has been turned into a Holocaust Memorial.

“Stalins kids lived in NYC. Pretty sure no one bothered her as much as you all are worked up.”
Stalin’s kids weren’t loyal to his philosophy, or to his bloodbath.
Yeah that’s pretty much what I remember. Did you ever see the movie on the Wannsee Conference stars Kenneth Branagh as Heydrich?
