WASHINGTON The pitched battle looming over the Supreme Court, along with a jolt to the Democratic leadership at the ballot box last Tuesday, is threatening to shatter the already fragile architecture of the Democratic Party, as an activist rebellion on the left and a lurch to the right in Washington propels the party toward a moment of extraordinary conflict and forced reinvention.
For Democrats, the transformation could prove as consequential as President Trumps consolidation of power in his own party and the conservative movements tightening grip on the federal government.
The Trump presidency has changed the dynamics in our party, said Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the second-ranking Democrat in the Senate, acknowledging that he could not call recall a similar grass-roots uprising since he was elected to Congress in 1982.
The partys traditional leaders absorbed one blow after another last week. Representative Joseph Crowley, a 20-year incumbent and potential future House speaker, was unseated by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old Latina political newcomer; Congress made clear it cannot pass even a limited immigration measure for the children of undocumented immigrants; and the Supreme Court handed down rulings that undermined the labor unions that are a backbone of the Democratic Party, while also limiting abortion rights advocacy and upholding President Trumps travel ban.
And then Justice Anthony M. Kennedy announced his retirement, effectively handing Mr. Trump the opportunity to cement a conservative majority on the bench.
(Then the article goes into a "we're leftists here at the NYT, and we are with leftists in solidarity" type bit in the next paragraph, but you can read that and the rest of the leftist stuff, at the link to the original NYT piece)

The only issue the NYT is good for news on anymore, is trade. On that they are very very good.
But as for the rest of the paper. It is a completely leftist piece of work.
Completely so.
10% turnout in one gerrymandered district.

The Democrats need to stop their war on America for starters.
Trump is going to make it very clear to the American people that a vote for any Democrat is a vote for open borders, the abolition of ICE and socialism. Suspect this will be a very effective strategy in swing House districts and competitive Senate races. If the New York Times is worried that the Democrats are divided now, hopefully they will have a plethora of stories to write about the despair in the Democratic Party and the Left after the election.
The architecture of the democrat party is a simple pyramid.
Dems gone hard left. Not smart. Any thoughts here on who the hell the Donkey nominee will be in 2020?
Both wings of the Uniparty are coming off.
The Bush League Republicans are losing control of the GOP.
The communists are taking over the DNC.
It was only a few short years ago they officially rejected God.
Today, the ice is melting right underneath their feet.
I suggest “the baby Harp seal cure” for these afflicted #NaziDemocrats...

I only saw it because it was at the link, I don’t ordinarily go to the NYT site.
With the single exception, of covering international trade issues.
On that topic, they seem to be among the very best.
The ineligible Indian/Jamaican from California.
Top Irish white Democrat leader in the House unseated by the card carrying communist, antisemite, anti-white , and anti-American retard who is supported by a guy who hates "greedy Jewish landlords" Ocasio-Cortez!.
Get it right NYT scumbags.
In his most recent successful run for Texass elected Supreme Court, Willett won an endorsement from Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, a group more strident than the NRA. In a summer editorial in the Tyler Morning Telegraph that blasted an appeals court ruling that Americans dont have the right to carry concealed guns, the newspaper said Willett would be an excellent choice to decide such questions on the Supreme Court.
The deal has been made then, probably in exchange for Mike Lee fellow Mormon this time or next time when Ginsburg goes, which will be soon.
