I wasn't asking about the 35,000 sealed filings, I was asking about the resignations - the part where you have already done sampling and reached a conclusion. i was just wondering if you kept any summary notes as you did that.

The list in the OP has ZERO to do with the 35,000 sealed filings. The "confirmed resignations/retirements/deaths" tab has 3186 lines, Line 1 being headings. Some of the references would be a slog to dig through, e.g., the Select Medical Holdings resignation on line 540 is (supposedly) reported on a linked Form 8-K, and I'm not sure that report is even going to give a reason, more likely a simple announcement.

Searching the sealed filings requires getting into the federal court docket system. Not daunting, but not nearly as easy as the file in the OP makes researching resignations. Each court has many cases, and the docket for any given case could have hundreds of line items. Footnote 1 in the 09/21/2006 Memo and Opinion in the Libby case, for example ...

In connection with these hearings, the following papers have been submitted to the Court: (1) the Defendant's Consolidated CIPA S: 5 Notice ("Def.'s Notice") [Doc 127 (classified)]; (2) the defendant's Memorandum Concerning Use, Relevance, and Admissibility of Classified Documents and Information Listed in Defendant's Consolidated CIPA S: 5 Notice ("Def.'s Mem.") [Doc 128 (classified)]; (3) the Government's CIPA S: 6(b) Notice ("Gov't's Notice") [Doc 133 (sealed)]; (4) the Government's Memorandum in Opposition to Defendant's Arguments Regarding the Use, Relevance, and Admissibility of Classified Documents ("Gov't's Opp'n") [Doc 141 (sealed)]; and (5) the defendant's Reply Memorandum Concerning Use, Relevance, and Admissibility of Classified Documents and Information Listed in Defendant's Consolidated CIPA S: 5 Notice ("Def.'s Reply") [Doc 143 (classified)].

I'd be surprised if 20% of the 35,000 sealed filing are/were indictments, and of those, I would think most were unsealed within a month or less of being filed - sealing being done to facilitate arrest of defendant.

None of that precludes the existence of 20 sealed indictments, those being Obama, Hillary, Comey, etc. It doesn't take a big number of indictments to get a small number of defendants.

< “I wasn’t asking about the 35,000 sealed filings, I was asking about the resignations - the part where you have already done sampling and reached a conclusion.”

I was referring to the list linked in this thread which is the list of resignations. There is a purported correlation with sealed indictments.

The sampling I have done is of the list linked in this thread. I think it’s pretty clear from the related news links that the reasons for the resignations in the list are not normal resignations. To be more sure of that short of a full up analysis would be to do some statistics.
