Hillary Clinton, in an interview with a British newspaper this week, appeared to compare herself to wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill while responding to a question about being a polarizing figure.
Im sure they said that about Churchill between the wars, didnt they? she told The Guardian when asked if she should withdraw from public life to help heal divisions in the U.S., given her reputation.
The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee then immediately claimed she wasn't actually comparing herself to Churchill, before going on to elaborate on the analogy.
Churchill went into the political wilderness between the two World Wars and during that time was a key voice criticizing then-Prime Minister Neville Chamberlains policy of appeasement toward Adolf Hitler. He would go on to become prime minister himself and help lead the Allies to victory in World War II. The Guardian report notes that Clinton made the Churchill reference a fraction too quickly for the line to sound spontaneous. Clinton continued: I mean, Im not comparing myself, but Im just saying people said that, but he was right about Hitler, and a lot of people in England were wrong. And Churchill was a pain. He kept popping up all the time.

If she is talking about Winston; I have a news flash for her! She is NO Churchill.
...and Benedict Arnold.
Lady Nancy Astor: Winston, if you were my husband, I’d poison your tea.
Churchill: Nancy, if I were your husband, I’d drink it.
Given how tired of her Bill must be, Churchill parallels may be a bad idea.
According to reliable reports, Hillary also holds her licker. By the ears or, if female, by the hair.
Churchill was the one who said, madame if you were my wife I would kill myself.
My MOST charitable thought is that she has read and believes that her press releases and syncopate statements are the literal truth. She is in danger of becoming the Harold Stassen or Lyndon LaRouche of this era with her continual protests of mistreatment in the 2016 election. If she runs in 2020, it will be because she lacks 20/20 vision to see herself clearly, as a feckless and flawed candidate, chosen in 2016 because she owned the finances, not because she was the popular choice.
"I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly."
The ghosts of Churchill’s peers need to appear before Hillary in the middle of the night and tell her: Look Hillary, I knew Churchill and believe me you are no Churchill.
The arrogant false projection of self-worth of progressives always amazes me.
I can’t believe she still gets coverage
Woman is delusional
“Hillary Clinton reminds me of Winston Churchill,” said no one, ever.
Oh it was better. Upon being told by the always obnoxious Lady Astor sir, if you were my husband, I would poison your tea. He immediately responded madam, if I were your husband, I would drink it.
PIAPS, the only thing you have in common with Winston Churchill is your weight!
Like the kids say, “OMG!” She really said that? She’s sicker than we thought. I’m sure somebody said it about Uncle Adolf too, Hillary, so you might want to think before you open your big mouth.
“Ward Churchill?”
Thank you for saving me from this thread. That won it and now Im off to another!
I’m surprised she didn’t compare herself to Jesus. I mean, as long as she’s dreaming.
A year or two ago I looked up Chappaqua,NY on the Census Bureau's website which,to my surprise, has a lot of very interesting data on it.
One thing they had about Chappaqua was that the population was something like 95% white and about 3% Asian. And you can be sure that those Asians are physicians, computer execs, etc.
IOW...ILLary's never lost a second of sleep about the border.
It doesn’t matter is she is polarizing.
What matters is she is a dirty, lying, skunk.
