(snip) I remember early on in my career, when I was working in consultancy and finance, sometimes being told how women needed to be conscious of their tone of voice, says Chelsea (snip)
The advice was well intentioned but inappropriate. I remember thinking, Oh gosh, do I speak too loudly, or too quickly or too stridently? What does that mean?
(snip)
Im frequently told, online and in person, that no one wants to hear from me, that I should be quiet, says Chelsea, whose own voice is actually rather lovely measured, quiet and fairly even in tone.
Sometimes thats expressed in more colourful and crude language. Its almost always men who are giving that feedback. But thats about them, its not about me.

Her own persistence lies in coping with the scrutiny her life has been under. And she has mother Hillary to thank. She gave me good advice early on that its important to take serious criticism from serious people seriously, and ignore the rest.
Chelsea now lives in New York with hubbie Marc Mezvinsky and children Charlotte and Aidan, in times that must make her jaw drop. After all, her father Bill, following the Monica Lewinksy affair, was impeached for far less than Trumps catalogue of scandals. Does she think the orange one will survive another term?
I dont have a crystal ball, says Chelsea, who works for the humanitarian organisation The Clinton Foundation and has said repeatedly she has no plans to run for office herself. But I am focused on helping elect Democrats in November [at the midterms] so that we are more able to hold the administration accountable for its collision of corruption and confidence in cruelty.

Yes Chelsea Hubble, STFU. You and your Mother go to Haiti and then Hades.
Hey Chelsea, STFU!!!
LOL!
Well, that and accidently scuttling the Mueller investigation.
“I remember early on in my career, when I was working in consultancy and finance”
Such modesty!
Nice picture of her elsewhere in these postings. Perhaps as she ages she becomes more photogenic.
If I did, it didn't make an impression on me one way or another.
That's probably a good thing, if and when she ever goes to trial (as a board member of the Clinton Foundation).
What a stupid comment. If people tell you anything, how else would it break down by gender but two halves of 100%?
So yes, people tell me that water is wet. Many of them are men.
Born on third base and thinks she hit a triple...
Yeah—best she “be silent and thought a fool rather than speak and remove all doubt”.
I would definitely argue that if she had spent the last 10 years tending bar and washing dishes that she could have won a primary. But she chose the path of entitlement. I bet mamma H Is fuming mad. The bartender socialist looks just like Huma too.
I don’t remember her voice either. I’m just taking their word for it.
But I do remember Webb’s voice, and it was indeed “measured, quiet and fairly even in tone.”
I would think someone so skillful as to be a professional consultant may have a few coping skills to deal with dissenting nay sayers? Male or female or in transition........
Do you think she has a tack room - er, walk-in closet - in her Manhattan apartment?
” working in consultancy and finance”
Snort...
what a pretentious little muffin
using her name to pull money into the accounts of Clinton and friends..
Ill just bet they thought her business acumen was astonishing
Nice cheek implants Chel, I bet those cost a fortune...
No, dear. It’s women, too. You see, like, um, hunh, like, you know, sometimes, like it’s soooo important to like be able to like um hunh speak without like um hunh.
And, be able to string sentences together.
When in doubt, keep quiet.
Whoever is telling you this - listen to them!!!
I wonder what she did in a previous life that gave her Karma status of being the offspring of Shrillary & Web Hubbell, and held prison in the status of being Bill Clinton’s legal daughter?
She is certainly being punished for something.
How often? My guess is, around 50%. Therefore, no story.
