Wasn’t a movie made depicting the widespread human sacrifice? That’s right, a non-person named Mel Gibson did, and I would say it was pretty gruesome and it seems factual too.
Sounds a little familiar. This article says archaeologists estimated the “rack” would have had about 130,000 skulls at one point. *shudder*
Mel Gibson said in the movie’s audio commentary that he was only showing the milder side of things. It sort of makes the Spanish conquest sound justified if it ended all that.
