HEAD's UP!

There is something very curious going on in Congress today.

House Judiciary + Oversight committee under Rep. Bob Goodlatte met with Rosenstein & Wray. They're supposed to testify. Goodlatte gave his opening statement and recognized another DOJ guy was also there who'd been appointed by Rosenstein to facilitate the production of records from FBI. (forget his name, we've seen it before).

Goodlatte makes his opening statement. Then Nadler makes his, complaining that minority didn't get 7 days notice of this hearing.

Then Goodlatte first introduces a resolution which was approved by the committee and says they have to go to a vote and will return so Rosenstein & Wray can testify and make their opening statements.

I've never seen anything like this before! It's not uncommon for members to step out of a hearing to vote, etc. - happens all the time. But to start a hearing like this and then stop it, delay, etc., very curious.

This is being covered on C-SPAN 3. Meanwhile on C-SPAN 1 they're showing the house chamber and a vote "On Ordering the Previous Question" re "House Access to Justice Dept. Documents Debate Rules"

The rule has passed 224 - 186 on resolution Rosenstein cough up the docs by July 6. Democrats request a recorded (5 minute) vote. Again, there was no need for Goodlatte’s vote to stop the hearing. this is very curious!

RR keeps laughing at the questions at the hearing. Sickening! Whats going on in our country is not a joke!
