To call these D list has-beens “celebrities” is a major stretch.
Actually “D list” is being kind, they’re more like “L List”, L being for LOSERS.
Exactly, they don’t rise to the level of what celebrity used to mean, they’re just overpaid actors.
I think the word ‘celebrity’ is waaay overused these days. There are thousands of actors; most of which are not in any way a celebrity. Just working actors. Most wish they were working.
A celebrity, to me anyway, is someone who is celebrated for their position and/or accomplishments. Not someone who is famous for being famous who might have shown a boob or had a homemade porn video leaked into the wild. There are very few American celebrities and none of them are dumb enough to wade into politics.
