#60. Easy Rider was a film about the fate of two drug smugglers and a liberal lawyer (Jack Nicholson) on a road trip in the South.
Nicholson was perhaps the only character with some character as he went south to help in the civil rights movement.
As I remember it, the two of them stopped at a hippie commune of some kind, and there was a girl there who was attracted to one of them, Fonda I think. He considered staying but was too attached to his traveling ways.
I could be wrong, or have a distorted image, since it was a long time ago, but that’s how I remember it.
