Mountain lion kills transgender biker in Seattle

The 32-year-old biker who was killed in a horrific cougar attack in Washington State, has been identified as SJ Brooks (right). His friend, Isaac Sederbaum (left), 31, survived with injuries.

They also referred to the cougar as "starving." That implies that it was hungry so it deserved to kill the transgender.
The fact that the cat was starving is relevant - there's no question about it deserving to kill a human, but people are not a normal part of a cougar's diet. This cat was apparently unable to bring down deer - maybe due to injury or disease - and had resorted to attacking people.
