For liberal reporters, it’s critically important to assign identity descriptors (transgender) in order to establish ulterior motives. In this instance, the big cat was clearly trans-phobic because no other motives, such as hunger, territorial defense or predatory instincts would ever suffice.
The fact that “its” partner was not also killed, is likely attributable to the lion’s recognition of racial privilege, along with culturally-induced and hate-inspired profiling bias, which all mountain lions are widely known to possess.
It’s therefore clear that the big cat, being the discerning creatures that they all are, would have never attacked and killed a heterosexual biker in Seattle. There can be no other rational explanation for this gratuitous hate crime.

My neighbor said he wanted to show me something. We went into his empty open garage and there on the floor was a cat and 4 or 5 small kittens playing as kittens do. They were running around between his feet even. He explained the cat had them under his trailer and thought they were old enough to show them the world.
How “cute” they were! He wanted to show me one close up and was going to pick one up, yet he was very apprehensive and almost scared to do so. Finally he saw his opportunity and grabbed one.
All hell broke loose! This cute adorable little kitten went bazerko. SCREAMING like a banshee. Frantically clawing at the air with all four feet.
If this little kitten could have gotten to any part of my friend, it would have torn him to shreds in seconds.
He carefully put it down and it went back to playing with it’s siblings.
If I hadn’t seen it myself, I would never have believed it. The kittens were feral, wild, and I mean WILD!
I doubt very much that most humans could kill a full grown, healthy mountain lion/cougar.
Just great. Now the gerbil has homo diseases.

It’s a form of ‘branding’ as part of an advertising and marketing campaign run by cultural marxists.
Anytime, anyplace, any circumstance of note where a LBTQ...XYZ pops up as part of some news item, the brand descriptor must, in the view of cultural marxists, be included and elevated in order to hammer the viewing society with the targeted normalization.
This cultural subversion aims to make these descriptors ‘normal’ after a generation (25 years), as part of the defined culture of society. As children grow and hear ‘gay’, ‘lesbian’, ‘transgender’, etc. over and over again, the prepubescent to puberty ‘acclimation’ forms an acceptance in the id that these things ‘were always there’ from childhood. Then, if there is any religious teaching to the contrary, it must be by instinctive reaction held to be suspicious.
Actually that helps a lot. Transgender=fake. Good to go.

This attack is very similar to one that happened in Orange County, CA in January of 2004.
A lady mountain biker was severely injured but was saved by fellow bikers, she was not a tranny but a former Marine. During a search after the attack a body of a male was found that the cougar had killed earlier.

Hjelle awoke moments later choking on her own blood and trying to figure out why three mountain bikers were standing nearby with rocks in their hands. Drawn by the screams of both women, they had thrown softball-sized rocks at the cat and driven it away.
Though they didn’t yet know it, the body of mountain biker Mark Reynolds was lying just off the trail. He had been killed hours earlier by the same cougar.”

Because the mountain lion killed a transvestite, I could imagine the homo community making a demand to exterminate all mountain lions in Washington State. Now if a mountain lion killed a Trump supporter, they would encourage the population growth of more mountain lions.
When you decline to identify as the top of the food chain there are consequences.
