Right. His brother and brother’s wife. Once they went to the FBI, even though it sounded like Ted, they still had to prove it. I think that the FBI Agent In Charge, Fitzgerald, was the first to use the “science” of Forensic Linguistics to make the case. It was a hard sell to his superiors.

It was the phrase, “You can’t have your cake and eat it, too” that did the trick. The manifesto wrote the saying the correct way (which actually makes more sense), “You can’t eat your cake and have it, too”, and Kaczynski was known for saying it that uncommon way.

Interesting, I wouldn't have guessed that's what tipped them.

What used to be amusing was to post Kaczynski's manifesto side by side with Al Gore's environmental ravings and have everyone try to guess which was which.
