I was banned once in the late 1990s and re-registered a couple of years later under a different name. Have been pretty well-behaved since. Am a veteran of the 2009 National Tea Party and FreeRepublic Convention held at the same time in Washington.
Interesting. I (robroy) became a member in 11/98 and was banned in August of 2011 (without warning, I might add) for being rude to JeanS (since deceased). I think she was a close friend of Jims.
I set up another account years later (Mr. Douglas) and was doing fine for many months and then, completely out of the blue, BAM, I was re-banned for being a “retread”. I just use my wife’s account now and if that gets banned, I’ll just set up another one, assuming I feel the need to post.
I was given a time out back around 2007. I’m still not sure of my infraction, but I did get a telephone call from the MAN, Jim Robinson, letting me know I was back on.
That call has been the highlight of my time here on FR.
I think I’m going to go donate now.
