I quickly discovered that here in Texas, virtually every Mexican joint uses preformed premade Taco Bell type taco shells. It’s a real drag. Almost none deep fry their own. Marianna’s Tacos in Frisco is an exception. And they are from San Diego too. Excellent authentic Mexican Food and they do their own taco shell. I miss Tito’s tacos in Culver City......Tex Mex is just ok but if I grew up on it, I’d probably prefer it too. Like they do here.
