gotcha - what I’m saying is that on his / its own, OIG doesn’t have access to GOOG - you have Huber +/- tribunals that can pull in OIG work along with subpoenaed materials ala GOOG to complete the picture. Some noted yesterday the IG isn’t the end of the chain, it’s the beginning ;)

What if Google, et al is working with Trump? They go there, put in new comm equipment, tech. Obama tries to call, suddenly it doesn’t work.

From the section I read yesterday, the FBI was too lazy to get subpeonas and also acted too dense to know that they could sub Google to get copies of any emails with a gmail.com address.

So Google does have them all. But you know, Comey didn’t want to offend anyone, and go to the extra trouble of doing paperwork. He just got information by “consent”, as in “hey, mind if I take these 6 laptops and just store them in my office? Naw, don’t worry, I won’t look at what’s stored on them”
