I absolutely agree with his statement, which is essentially what the President said himself. He constantly interjects that he can and will walk away from it. It was an incredibly bold move and needed to be done. Only someone that thinks outside the box would be willing to do this. It is like being in the Oil business (which I have been for 45 years) and drilling a rank wildcat. Chances are, it could be a dryhole (and probably will be)based on past history. But if it hits, it would pay for many wells. I suspect that Trump understands the risk involved and felt like it was his moment in history to take it. Every President since Carter sought to repeat the same BS that has never worked, which is the definition of insanity.. Bill Richardson, Clinton’s negotiator, justified their deal by saying “they only ended up with 40 nukes. If not for us, they would have had 100.” Anybody that assumes it is a done deal is a fool. The President more or less signed a “Memorandum of Understanding”, which is not legally binding, but stipulates what each party’s intentions are. It is always the first step in many before a deal is consumated. So for the Freepers here that have some kind of personal bias against Shapiro, your colors are showing.

I agree. I’d like to expand on it but will be brief and just say that we can all be so blinded by our bias to not only hate a politician, no matter what good they do, but also love and give full allegiance to a politician, even when they are in the wrong.

And sometimes the latter comes out in Freerepublic.

I really like Trump and even consider him more conservative than Reagan, but it was a long journey. I think Ben made the same journey but, like me, he knows that Trump does have flaws and they need to at least be taken into account. That is really all I saw in this. I think Ben was being supportive, but cautious.

And yeah, most of the big projects I work in IT that involve business partners start out with an MOU.
