And time to study! Many of these prisoners are saved, they know they will not leave alive. They see themselves as in a place like Paul, they can serve best by witnessing to the other prisoners, their guards, their families in hopes these will be saved.
Their testimonies will so move you that literally until you visit a prisoner your eyes will not be fully opened to the Gospel and the Lord.
I always believed i was a dedicated Christian, reaching out to widows and orphans, my thumb in the pie pulling out plums until The Lord convicted me to follow the rest of the verse and visit those in prison.
The first night i went was a graduation from a bible study class on the whole armor of God. The testimonies of these men broke me to tears (as I had asked the Lord to allow me to see them as He did) WOW!
These men are praying men and God is using them in ways they don’t even know or understand!
Prayers up in these times, but to all- Remember we are not alone! The Lord of Hosts Fights for us!
Amen Billy, I spent a good part of the 90’s ministering to ladies in women’s prisons. I was saved as an adult and realized how close I could have come to being one of those ladies. They blessed me far more than they realized all the while keeping me on my toes learning scripture to keep up with some of them.
