I dont have time to read thru everything. Maybe this was mentioned already, maybe not...
Its about Q’s mention of the “dash 23” , think military....
Well the -23 (dash 23) is a reference to Army Manuals.
FM = Field Manual
TM = Training Manual
I learned on TM - 1520-210-23-1, -2, -3, -PM (parts manual) and I was a UH-1H helicopter mechanic / crewchief... I think the 210 is the reference for the UH-1. Anyways there was also an operators manual that we just referred to as the “dash 1” or the -1... I cant remember if it was the FM-1520-210-1 (operators manual for a Huey Helicopter) .... Anyways, I looked up FM-23-1 and it was the (M3??) Bradly fighting vehicle “Gun Operators” Manual.
This is in reference to Q’s reply to an ANON, about “bring the pain” -23, Were an anon thought it was about (minus) 23 days... and he came up with June 11. Sorry if I blabbered... Hope its helpful... double check my -23 ref about Bradlys because I also came Up with FM 23-10 “SNIPER TRAINING” .... SO I Dont know. Just throwing that out there...

thanks for that. I also saw the tank-ish reference, but as you can see by my use of the word “tankish” I have not a clue about this subject.
It’s great how much we learn here!
wow.. thx, PD
I know Im garbling up the numbers... as I recall now, we called the “operators manual” the “-10” or “dash ten”... the numbers in front are the equipment reference number... (i think) lol... It be 15 years. Maybe someone else can help clarify.

Thanks for the help on dash 23. That’s something most of us wouldn’t know to find.
